Fair Lending

The MICAH Program was created to help neighbors in financial distress through direct service in the form of financial mentoring and facilitating low-cost loans as an alternative to predatory lending, which is prevalent in South Carolina. MICAH has advocated in the public square for legislation in South Carolina to curb predatory lending.
MICAH is a member of the South Carolina Fair Lending Alliance, SCFLA, www.scfairlending.org, and supports legislation to protect vulnerable South Carolinians from high-cost, predatory loans.
